The roads were all deserted,
Not a single soul to witness
The sirens of the vans could be heard,
Checking the city for a test of fitness.
The children were not playing in the streets,
The sweet shops had no charm;
everything was dark and deep,
With our saviors holding guns and arms.
The woman was crying in pain,
With relatives praying to the Almighty,
All ways of convincing the guard went in vain;
His husband waited in anxiety.
The joy of becoming a father,
Fathomed by her sufferings of labor;
This curfew that has brought it all,
With a gynae just in neighbor.
Her situation was critical,
And the risks were high,
With every cry of hers;
He gave a sigh.
Finally it happened,
That a new life was born,
But with this new light;
The source was gone.
Her husband was happy,
With tears in his eye;
What is this bloody law and order,
That my heart had to die.
He came out with revenge on his mind,
People with weapons,shouting at him he could find;
His closed his fist and gave the guard a punch,
The black commodore stepped ahead,shot him dead and alas a sound of 'CRUNCH'.
The troop came and looked at everything;
And went on shouting "DECORUM.....DECORUM".
really a nice one....
