I AM YOUR CONNECTION

Loads of people waiting for me,
some paying for it and some travelling for free;
Every person wants to have a race,
When I carry them, I can read their face.

I have seen some of you sad,
and some of you crying.
I have seen you all mad,
and some of you on the verge of dying.

A group of people going for a wedding,
With all their bag, baggage and bedding;
A boy eager to meet his love;
He wishes he could fly and be a dove.

A mother who is going to meet her son far away,
And will be there with him in a day;
A father going to see a boy for his daughter,
And a man taking a goat for Id to slaughter.

I have seen a thief snatching a chain,
The children shouting when I pass near the lane;
I have seen a lot of blood and people abusing me,
And saying ‘Why did we ever catch you in a spree?’

I keep on striving towards my destination;
I have the nerves of steel and not driven by emotions.
This is the difference between me and you all;
I hereby give you a clarion call.

I am a TRAIN,
Like you, I can’t enjoy the rain.
You all are going ahead in the race of being practical,
you are no more humans, rather too tactical.

Be what you were before,
Life has so much at its galore;
I know what you were and what you are,
I am a train, I AM YOUR CONNECTION
